Victor

As the sun slowly disappears behind the mountains, Victor takes one last smoke and throws the cigarette away. One lingering look at the crimson sky and he heads for the door. The cabin seems small in the mountain landscape, secluded as it is from the tiny village two miles away.
The wood cracks as he steps onto the porch, his head between his shoulders, his hands stuck deep in his pockets. He takes a good look at the door, noticing a peculiar, almost unnoticeable scratch near the handle.Almost as if someone or something was trying to claw it's way inside. The paint, in its thickness, had almost covered the mark.
He breathes in, and stepping back he smashes his foot against the door.A loud noise, the lock snaps and the door is flung open.He then draws his gun and in the blink of an eye he is in, pointing his gun at his unsuspecting victim.A tall, middle-aged man, with balding grey hair gets to look Victor in the eyes, his panic filling the room. He's trying to articulate something, but he gags, his lips moving without uttering a sound. It doesn't last long, as two bullets pierce his body, one bursting through his chest, another through his skull. The body slips on the leathery couch, leaving a trace of blood smeared all over.
Victor tucks the gun in his pants, while exiting the cabin. On the porch again, he stops for a second, his eyes staring blankly at the ground in front of him.He exhales loudly and starts moving towards the nearby woods where he had left his car, without looking back for one second.
